SUBSTITUTE TEACHER Requirements

If you hold a certificate, please submit the following:

• Letter of Interest
• DCTS Application for Employment
• References (3)
• Copy of the following clearances:
  o Act 34: Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Record Check
  o Act 114: Federal Bureau of Investigation Background
  o Act 151: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance

If you do not hold a certificate, but hold a bachelor's degree, you may contact the Capital Area Intermediate Unit at (717) 732-8400 ext. 641 for information on the Guest Teacher Program.
