New Courses for Spring 2009!

Veterinary Assistant Program

This 12 month evening certification program will teach you skills high in demand in veterinary facilities, animal hospitals, animal shelters, and animal laboratories in large, small and exotic animal practices.

At the end of the program, you will have the opportunity to take the PVMA or Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association exam. This exam is endorsed and recognized in the state of PA by PVMA, PA Department of Agriculture, and PA Department of Education.

Cost for this 300 hour course is $3300, which includes all books and lab fees. A 10% deposit ($330) is required with registration. Flexible payments plans are available. Please call for details.

Basic Automotive

This 5 week course is an introduction to automotive systems and repair. It covers basic maintenance and troubleshooting the different systems of a vehicle as well as a digital multi-meter and automotive diagnostic computer systems. This course helps prepare students for higher level courses in vehicle systems.

Cost for this 60 hour course is $600. This price includes all materials. A 25 %( $150) deposit is required with registration. Flexible payment plans are available. Please call for details.

Introduction to Computers

Areas covered in this brief and informative course include:

Basic Computer Terminology- Learn what computer acronyms mean and what makes one computer different than another.

Computer Program Basics and File Storage

Internet and Email Basics- Including internet safety

Digital Basics- Learn basics of digital photos and videos

This class meets Mondays, 6:00pm-8:00pm

Welding

This course introduces the student to theory and practical hands-on training of welding. Topics include: Fundamentals, ARC Welding, MIG Welding, TIG Welding.

This program is ideal for the general public looking to acquire new career skills or refresh training. Businesses that need customized programs can benefit from employee training either onsite or at DCTS. Cost for this 32-hour course is $500. Payment plans available.
