Dr. Mary Jane Gales – Chief School Administrator

Dr. Gales currently serves as Chief School Administrator of DCTS, in addition to her position as Executive Director of the Capital Area Intermediate Unit.  She began her educational career as an elementary school teacher and moved into an administrative role as principal in the Warren County and Smethport Area School Districts.  She also served as superintendent for the Solanco School District (Lancaster County) and the Oxford Area School District (Chester County).  Dr. Gales received her Master’s in Education/Counseling from Marywood University, and her Doctorate from Indiana University of PA in Leadership/Administration.


Peggy Grimm

Dr. Peggy Grimm- Administrative Director

Peggy Grimm joined the staff at Dauphin County Technical School in July,
2007, as the high school principal. She began her career in education
as a long-term substitute at DCTS in 1986. In 1988, Dr. Grimm was
employed by the Central Dauphin School District as an art teacher,
primarily at East and Central Dauphin High Schools. After receiving her
Master's degree in School Administration (2003) from Temple University,
she became an assistant principal at Big Spring High School. Dr. Grimm earned her Doctorate of Education in 2009 from Widener University. After serving as the DCTS high school principal from 2007-2012, Dr. Grimm was appointed as Assistant Director in August 2012 and Administrative Director in May 2013. 


Ashley Bennett

Sandy Traynor - Assistant Director

Sandy Traynor joined Dauphin County Technical School as Assistant Director in May 2013. She was previously employed as Assistant Director/Principal at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center.  Sandy is a former Business Teacher and Cooperative Education/Workforce Development Coordinator with the Chambersburg School District.  She earned a Master’s degree in Secondary Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education (minor in Anthropology), and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.  In addition, Sandy holds the following certifications:  Vocational Director Certification, Penn State University, K-12 Principal Certification, Shippensburg University, and Cooperative Education Certification, Penn State University.


Maria Zaharick

Maria J. Zaharick – Business Administrator

Maria J. Zaharick joined the staff at Dauphin County Technical School as Business Administrator in January 2002. She started her career at the Harrisburg office KPMG, LLP in October 1997 as an Assistant Accountant and also served a Supervising Senior Accountant for the firm. Miss Zaharick received her Bachelors degree from Shippensburg University in 1997 and her Certified Public Accountant license in October 2000.


Jon Fox - Principal

Mr. Fox is a graduate of Clarion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies. Jon received his Masters of Leadership and Liberal Studies degree from Duquesne University and Administrative Certificate from Shippensburg University. He is currently working towards his Superintendent Letter of Eligibility and Doctorate of Education in Education Leadership. Mr. Fox previously served as an Assistant Principal at Central Dauphin High School.

 


Gwen Mosteller - Assistant Principal

Mrs. Mosteller is a graduate of Clarion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/General Science. Gwen received her Masters of Education degree in Educational Administration and Principal Certificate from Shippensburg University. She also obtained her Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from Temple University. Mrs. Mosteller previously served as an Assistant Principal at Williams Valley High School.

 


Nicholas Blanch

Nicholas Blanch - Assistant Principal

Nicholas P. Blanch joined the staff of the DCTS in the fall of 2007 as an assistant principal. He has previously taught in the Southern Huntingdon County and West Perry School districts. He is social studies certified and has his Masters of Education, with a major in Teaching & Curriculum. He also has his K-12 principal certification and is currently in his 3rd year of doctoral studies through Immaculata University. Nicholas is also, proudly, an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a Patriot Missile Operator.


Priscilla Rodriguez - Technology Coordinator

Priscilla Rodriguez joined the staff at Dauphin County Technical School in December 2008 as the data specialist and became Technology Coordinator in July 2009. Before joining DCTS she worked for the Harrisburg School District as the Pennsylvania Information Management Systems administrator.  Ms. Rodriguez received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Management from Albright College.


Ashley Bennett

Jan Zeager - Supervisor of Special Education

Jan Zeager recently joined the staff at Dauphin County Technical School in February 2013 as the Supervisor of Special Education.  She began her teaching career in 1985 at Harrisburg Christian School teaching high school English and Spanish for nine years.  Miss Zeager took a hiatus from teaching to work at Philhaven Behavioral Healthcare as a residential counselor for the adolescent girls’ program.  Miss Zeager returned to teaching as an emotional support teacher for Middletown Area High School from 2004-2013.   She earned her Master’s degree in Special Education in 2006 and her Supervisory Certification in Special Education in May 2012, both from Millersville University.
