Dr. Lacey

Dr. Kevin Lacey- Administrative Director

Dr. Kevin Lacey joins DCTS this year.  He was previously employed as the Director of Student Services at the York County School of Technology. Dr. Lacey earned a BS degree from Kutztown University in German and Russian.  He earned two Master’s degrees from Shippensburg University in Secondary Counseling (1985) and Educational Administration (1994).  Dr. Lacey earned his Doctorate of Education in 2006 from the Pennsylvania State University.  In addition to his teaching certificate, he holds the following certifications: Secondary Counselor, Supervisor of Guidance Services, Elementary and Secondary Principal, Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility, and Vocational Administrative Director.


Tony Arnold Toni L. Arnold - Assistant Director

Toni L. Arnold joined the staff at Dauphin County Technical School as a Cosmetology instructor in August 1987 and continued in that position until August 1997. During the 97/98 school year, she was the Dean of Students and the following July was appointed as School-to-Work Coordinator. She remained in that position (the title was changed to Supervisor of Continuing Education) until July 2001 at which time she was appointed as Assistant Director. She received her Masters degree from Pennsylvania State University in December 1998.


Maria Zaharick

Maria J. Zaharick – Business Administrator

Maria J. Zaharick joined the staff at Dauphin County Technical School as Business Administrator in January 2002. She started her career at the Harrisburg office KPMG, LLP in October 1997 as an Assistant Accountant and also served a Supervising Senior Accountant for the firm. Miss Zaharick received her Bachelors degree from Shippensburg University in 1997 and her Certified Public Accountant license in October 2000.


Peggy Grimm

Peggy Grimm - Principal

Peggy Grimm joined the staff at Dauphin County Technical School in July,
2007, as the high school principal. She began her career in education
as a long-term substitute at DCTS in 1986. In 1988, Ms. Grimm was
employed by the Central Dauphin School District as an art teacher,
primarily at East and Central Dauphin High Schools. After receiving her
Master's degree in School Administration (2003) from Temple University,
she became an assistant principal at Big Spring High School.


Margaret Gilreath

Margaret Gilreath - Assistant Principal

Margaret S. Gilreath began her career at Dauphin County Technical School in 1977. She taught Arts & Crafts as an academic teacher for twelve years and Advertising Art & Design as a career and technical instructor for thirteen years. She then transitioned into the position of Dean of Students for three years and is currently the Assistant Principal. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree and Masters of Science Degree from Millersville University in Art Education. She also holds an Occupational Certification in Commercial Art from Penn State University and most recently completed a Principal's Certification from Shippensburg University in 2005.


Nicholas Blanch

Nicholas Blanch - Assistant Principal

Nicholas P. Blanch joined the staff of the DCTS in the fall of 2007 as an assistant principal. He has previously taught in the Southern Huntingdon County and West Perry School districts. He is social studies certified and has his Masters of Education, with a major in Teaching & Curriculum. He also has his K-12 principal certification. Nicholas is also, proudly, an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, where he served as a Patriot Missile Operator.


Ashley Bennett

Ashley Bennett - Supervisor of Special Education

Ashley Bennett joined the staff at Dauphin County Technical at the beginning of the 07/08 school year as the supervisor of Special Education. She has been in the field of special education for fourteen years.  She received her Bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University and Master’s Degree in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.  She is currently pursuing her Supervisor’s Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh.  After living in Baltimore for 12 years she and her family moved back to the Central Pennsylvania area. 


Madeleine Bowman

Madeleine Bowman-Workforce Development Specialist

Madeleine Bowman joined Dauphin County Technical School as Workforce Development Specialist in July 2006.  She earned her B.A. in English from Hamilton College in upstate New York and pursued careers in advertising in NYC and corporate administration with a large insurance/mutual fund company in Boston until finally settling down in Central PA.  In Harrisburg, she has worked extensively with educational institutions and non-profit organizations.  Madeleine is committed to the development of workforce opportunities in Central PA. and collaborating with community leaders and business partners to build an adult education program at DCTS that can meet the growing workforce needs in our area. Her experience and knowledge from the private sector, non-profit and education gives her unique insight into developing and sustaining this program.
