Customized Job Training Grants (CJT)
As part of the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania's strategy for economic development, the state's
CJT program provides money for training employees in the skills
employers want. Dauphin County Technical School can be an
essential partner in helping you identify, provide, and pay for
the training that will result in those skills.
Any Business, Professional
Service or other enterprise (except a Point-of-Sale retail
business) is eligible to apply for state CJT funding.
Applications for funding must go through a Local Education
Agency (LEA). As a state certified LEA, DCTech will help you
assess your training needs, determine the specific curriculum to
meet your goals, and write the CJT application grant. For
example, DCTech wrote successful CJTs for:
Dauphin Graphics Machine, Inc.
($60,000) to train 32 new employees and upgrade 138 existing
employees in the areas of Manufacturing, Engineering, Management
Information Systems, Purchasing, and Material Management
Ingram Micro, Inc. ($167,000) to
implement a skill-based program that focuses on team building,
safety awareness, and on-the-job training in shipping,
receiving, and inventory processing
