The disciplines of machining, welding, and sheet metal
working are taught to students with good eye-hand coordination,
strong math skills, and the ability to concentrate and
stay focused, and who enjoy producing a quality, usable
product. Students learn how to use small machinery,
hand tools, bench-work, material science, and oxyacetylene
and arc welding, and then work their way up to milling
machines, lathes, grinders, and MIG and TIG welding, and
do their own welding or machining projects.
