The power of the printed word is the focus in this all
encompassing program that takes a print job from the design
through production phases. In pre-press, students
work in a sophisticated Macintosh computer lab to learn
and conduct such operations as photo re-touching, drawing,
non-linear digital video editing, and desktop publishing. They
then learn to output plates and run presses to produce
business cards, letterheads, newsletters, brochures and
books. The demand for press operators requires students
to understand and be proficient in running single and multiple
color jobs.
