Advertising Art & Design Course Syllabus and Competencies
Upon selection of the course, students will begin working in one of the following areas of instruction; basic theory, desktop publishing, web design, multimedia design, and sign making. Students will complete competencies in the basic theory area before moving onto one of the others areas of study. Upon completion of competencies a student may have the opportunity for advanced work in an area they wish to specialize (ie: Web Design, Vinyl signs, Illustration). As a student works on jobs, they are required to complete the competencies necessary to perform that job and submit a sample of the work into their portfolio. At the end of their educational experience, a student should have a comprehensive record of their progress in Advertising Art and Design.
